Mae Pridgen, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the age of 88. Ms. Pridgen navigated through life taking pleasure in simple things such as spending time with her loved ones, tending to her roses with great care, and enjoying the sounds of her favorite gospel music. She was a socially engaging woman who loved to make new acquaintances – holding great conversations and listening intently to anyone she befriended. Ms. Pridgen was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Charmon; mother, Bessie (Harper) Gaston; father, Fletcher Mason Sears; in addition to her 10 brothers and sisters.
Ms. Pridgen’s memory will be cherished by her daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda Griffith, Judy and Bill Hall, Joan and Jerry Evans; sons, Mason Pridgen, Tony Pridgen; grandchildren, Jackie, Phillip; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as her sister-in-law, Meg Johnson.
A Graveside Service for Ms. Pridgen will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020, 2:00 P.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington.
