Marcene Phillips

Marcene Phillips, 69, of Covington, passed away February 24, 2014. Marcene enjoyed crocheting, traveling to the beach and the mountains, and playing golf with her husband, Dwight. She had an adventurous, outgoing and encouraging spirit, and was the glue that held her family together. Marcene cherished the time spent with her family, and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Papa Mac and Mama Mac.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Dwight Phillips; daughter, Tracey Yvonne Phillips of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Alison Phillips of McDonough; grandchildren, Adam and Ciji Phillips, Andrew and Lauren Phillips, Alex Phillips, Tiffany Phillips, Amanda Lause, Matt Lause; great-grandchildren, Ali, Trinity, Sophie, Luke, Aden, Mackenzie, Alyssa; sisters, Joyce Burns, Carmen Duren; brother, Johnny McIntyre; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Marcene will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, February 26, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
