Margie Letson Jeffreys

Margie Letson Jeffreys, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the age of 80. Mrs. Jeffreys was a caring family person whose greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to spending time with loved ones, she devoted her creative energies to making homecooked meals, creating beautiful flower arrangements, and had an eye for decorating. Mrs. Jeffreys also enjoyed trips to Clarks Hill Lake, camping, fishing, and being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Jeffreys; parents, Harvey and Leo (Davis) Letson; sister, Inez Galerno; brothers, Buck Terry, Robert Lee Letson, Harvey Lee Letson, Jr., Edgar Letson; and son-in-law, David Haralson.

Mrs. Jeffreys will be remembered with love and adoration by her daughters, Lynn Haralson, Susan Camp (Anthony), Janice Moyers (Tony James); grandchildren, Randall Powell (Amanda), Jeffrey Ozburn (Taylore), Jordan Moyers (Walt Deal); great-grandchildren, Hunter Powell, Slade Powell, Ella Ozburn; sister, Betty Leo Jennings (Mike), brother, Jimmy Lee Letson; sister-in-law, Annie Hicks (Don); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service to honor Mrs. Jeffreys will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Travis Price officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, prior to her service, from 1:30 – 3:00 P.M.
