Mark Shann, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the age of 65. Mr. Shann loved the Lord and was a member of Eastridge Church where he was a mentor in the Celebrate Recovery group. He enjoyed fly fishing and any type of fishing, cooking, barbecuing, smoking meat, and taking pictures with his drone. Mr. Shann loved playing his guitar and music was a big part of his life. He also liked playing games on his computer and anything tech, action movies, and sci-fi movies, and was a huge fan of Star Wars and Marvel. Mr. Shann enjoyed riding in his Chevy Silverado and his motorcycles. Above all, what he treasured most was the time spent with his family, wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved his family dearly and held a special place in his heart for his dog, Dakota. Mr. Shann will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Ardelean Shann; and parents, Patrick Shann and Mitsuko Yasakowa.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Shann; daughter, Jessica Klapproth (Jeremy); daughter-in-law, Joy Long (Brice); grandchildren, Luka Klapproth, Eve Klapproth, Noah Ardelean, Kobe Ardelean; brother, George Shann (Gina); sister, Dolly Shann; as well as step-brothers, step-sisters, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Shann will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Eastridge Church South Campus, 14200 Highway 36, in Covington, with Pastor Scott Moore and Pastor Brad Rutledge officiating.
