Martha Frances

Martha Day of Covington died November 19, 2011 at the age of 79. She was born in Atlanta, GA, to the late Tommy Clarence "Buck" and Annie Lou "Dalton" Johnson and was the widow of the late Harvey Eugene Day. She was formerly employed with Newton General Hospital and H & R Block. Martha was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oxford for 60 years, sang in the choir, and was a member of WMU and the senior adult Sunday school class. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Day is survived by her son, Darryl Day of Oxford; grandchildren, Johnny and Jessi Iler; great-grandchildren, Johnny Lee Iler, Jr., Cameron James Iler, Harvey Jackson Iler; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Martha will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Allen and Mr. Franklin D. Kitchens officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
