Martha "Granny" Clegg

Martha “Granny” Clegg, of Covington, passed away Sunday, Feb 11, 2024, at the age of 75.Mrs. Clegg enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and dancing. She always made a point to watch her soap operas, especially General Hospital. Above all else, Granny will be remembered for the love that she had for her family, and the time that she spent with each of them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Clegg; parents, Amos and Helen Headrick; son, Bobby Dale Clegg; and daughter, Nena Marie Clegg.

Survivors include her son, Michael Wayne Clegg; grandchildren, Michael James Clegg, Rebecca Clegg East, Christopher Head (Cassie), Melissa McCranie (Brandon), Stephanie Clegg, Camilla Ogles (James); 17 great-grandchildren; and furbabies, Cesear “fatty fat” and Jo Jo “Little Man”.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Clegg will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA 30014. Interment will follow in New Covington Cemetery, Davis St. Covington, GA 30014. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
