Marvin Franklin Jones, Jr.

Marvin Franklin Jones, Jr., of Oxford, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 73. Frank attended Heritage Hills Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed being a Georgia Bulldog fan and being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, gardening, or hiking. Frank especially liked traveling to the mountains and beach where he could sit and watch the ocean. He enjoyed photography which is evident by the many framed photographs decorating their home. Most of all, Frank loved the time he spent with his family and being “Papa” to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Polly Terry Jones; parents, Marvin and Vivian Jones; and brother, Tommy Lee Jones.

Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Marinne Jones; daughters, Jennifer Jones Peden (Robert), Christina Jones, Christine Fix (Teena Bare), Tiffany McFarland (Kurt); eight grandchildren; sister, Vickie Ellis (Jerry); as well as other loving family members

A Memorial Service for Mr. Jones will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11 A.M. at Heritage Hills Baptist Church, 2987 Hwy 212 SW Conyers, GA 30094 with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. The family will be having a time of fellowship immediately following the service.
