Mary C. Allen

Mary C. Allen, of Covington, passed away July 23, 2017, at 83 years of age. A member of Newborn First Baptist Church, Mrs. Allen worked at Bruno's for 8 years, before starting a new career at Kroger, where she worked as a deli clerk. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo. Mrs. Allen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, William (Bill) Allen; parents, Carol Leroy and Christina (Natheny) Allen; son-in-law, Jerry McDonald; as well as all of her siblings.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Janett McDonald of Oxford, Jenine and Ronald Webb of Douglasville, Tammy Allen of Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, Tim Allen of Wadsworth, OH; grandchildren, Jeremy Howard, Brandon Crockett, Patricia Daniells, Zachary Allen, Ashley Allen, Spencer Allen, Carter Allen, Marissa Allen; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Allen will be held Friday, July 28, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family, at the funeral home, Thursday, July 27, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Allen to American Cancer Society, 105 Westpark Drive, Suite C, Athens, GA 30606.
