Mary Elizabeth Christian

Mary Elizabeth Christian, of Eatonton, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020, at the age of 75. Fondly known as “Granny”, Mary was quick to greet everyone she met with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. She had a deep concern for the well-being of others and her capacity to care knew no limits. Among other things, Mary will be remembered most for her love of family and for all mankind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Annie Lois (Howard) Yarberry; brother, Joe Yarberry; and step-sons, Ronald Christian, Donald Christian.

Left to cherish Mary’s memory is her husband of 58 years, Raymond Christian; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Christian and Andy Holbrooks, Ann and Tim Parnell; Dana and Shannon Christian; son, Eddie Christian; grandchildren, Bridget Christian, Tiffany Parnell, Josh Parnell, Cody Christian, Caleb Coker, C.J. Coker, Destini Freshour, Gabriel Holbrooks (Granny’s favorite), Bryant Christian, Dwayne Christian, Kelly Christian, Eric Christian; great-grandchildren, Jayden Seltzer, Tyler Venable, Taylor Venable, Mary Beth Venable, Allison Venable, Greenley Parnell; sisters, Charlotte Skelton, Judy Johnson, Pam Yarberry, Vickie Taylor; brothers, Tony Yarberry, Tommy Yarberry, Ronnie Yarberry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
