Mary Ann Cobb of Newborn, passed away October 8, 2015, at the age of 75. She was formerly a resident of Decatur, where she owned and operated a beauty shop, before moving to Jasper County, where she resided for 37 years. Mrs. Cobb enjoyed cooking for her family, working in her flower garden and loved going camping. She cherished the time spent with family and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy L. Cobb; and parents, Gordon Thurman and Mary Elise Knight.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Lynn Hunt of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Jared Lee Chapman and his wife, Krystal Chapman, Cody Garrett Chapman all of Newborn, GA, Cierra Nicole Chapman of Lula, GA; great-grandchildren, Danielle Chapman, Shane Chapman, Aeden Edward Paul.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
