Mary Pauline Griffitts Cox

Mary Pauline Griffitts Cox of Eatonton, passed away January 10, 2018, at the age of 82. Mrs. Cox was of the Pentecostal faith. Family-oriented and social by nature, she took any opportunity to fellowship with loved ones. Mrs. Cox was well-read, loved gospel music, and enjoyed engaging in political discussions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Cox; son, Tony Ray Cox; grandson, Tony Grizzard; parents, Ordney and Beatrice Griffitts; as well as 14 siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Lee Grizzard, Terry Lynn Cox; son, Michael Wayne Cox; grandchildren, Shane Prather, Tracy McCrackin, Jesse Grizzard; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Chloe, Bryanna, Kylie, Scarlett, Anzlee, Adilyn; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Ed Roach; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Edna Griffitts; as well as several nieces and nephews.

***Due to inclement weather, please make note that the visitation date has been changed. Friends may visit with her family Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Interment will follow in Hiberland Cemetery in Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help the family cover funeral expenses.
