Floyd StreetMary Jo Williamson of Oxford, passed away January 8, 2012, at the age of 84. Mrs. Williamson was a loving, compassionate, Christian mother who smiled easily. She cared for her family and friends with a loving heart and through prayer. She loved and served our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ every day. Mrs. Williamson loved to paint, and shared her paintings with family and friends over the years. She also shared a small flower garden, feeders, and bird bath with many species of birds, spending hours enjoying their songs and playful ways. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Harry O. Williamson; son, Michael Williamson; parents, Marion and Mary Jo Harman; brother, Sonny Harman; and her brother-in-law, Bill Kitchens. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Terrie and Bill Eshbaugh of Flintstone, MD, Harriett Williamson of Georgia; granddaughter, Amanda Little, and her husband, Dan; great-granddaughters, Maggie, Grace and Maryjane Little, all of Denver, CO; sisters and brothers-in-law, Scottie and James Edwards, Harriett Kitchens, all of Covington; daughter-in-law, Chris Williamson Hartley; sister-in-law, Mary Harman of Oxford; nieces, Pam Jeffries, Carol Tomlin, Tami Zechman, Angie Jones; nephews, Skip Kitchens, Bob Kitchens, Joe Kitchens, and Rob Williamson.Funeral Services for Mrs. Williamson will be held Friday, January 13, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, Covington, with Skip Kitchens officiating, and interment following in Hillandale Memorial Gardens, 6201 Hillandale Dr., in Lithonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM.
