Melissa Manning Bowen

Melissa Manning Bowen, 42, of Loganville died October 31, 2010, at Embracing Hospice Care in Snellville.  She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.   A friend to many, Mrs. Bowen enjoyed flowers and collecting frogs.  She loved traveling to the beach and enjoyed racing, fishing and being outdoors.  Mrs. Bowen is survived by her husband, Charles Bowen; daughter, Kayla Manning; sons, Justin Manning and Robert Bowen, all of Loganville; 5 grandchildren; father, Frankie Hicks of Conyers; brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Holly Hicks of Porterdale; sister, Candy Reynolds of San Diego, CA; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Bowen of Loganville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, with interment following in Oxford Historical Cemetery.
