Melvin Duane Criswell

Melvin Duane Criswell, of Conyers, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at the age of 64. Mr. Criswell was a great mechanic with a passion for working on cars. He loved riding Harley motorcycles and performing karaoke. Mr. Criswell adored his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Pop Pop, and cherished the time he had with them dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Criswell; and parents Clifford and Veeda Kirkland.

Mr. Criswell is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Weaver (Edward); son, Kevin Criswell (Tasha); grandchildren, Kaylie Weaver, William Criswell, Lily Weaver, Tallulah Criswell, Macie Weaver; siblings, Otis Criswell, Donna Hiett, Dallas Criswell (Robin); and other loving family members.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Criswell will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Michael Patterson officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
