Michael D. (Mike) Allen, Sr., of Covington, passed away August 25, 2017, at 65 years of age. A lifelong resident of Newton County, Mike was known for having a green thumb and being able to grow anything! He was a family man who cherished his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lynn Glaze Allen; and parents, George Alfred, Sr., and Martha Allene (Payne) Allen.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Ann and Ryan Kelly of Minot, ND; son and daughter-in-law, Robbie Allen and fiancé, Dennise Collum, both of Covington; grandchildren, Blaise Kelly, Ariana Kelly; brother, George Alfred (Big Al) Allen, Jr. of Covjngton.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Allen will be held at a later date.
