Michael Rae Folkerts, Jr.

Michael Rae Folkerts, Jr., of Covington, passed away June 2, 2017, at 45 years of age. A graduate of Tucker High School, Michael was a professional driver for nine years - most recently employed with Brand Vaughn Lumber Company. He enjoyed grilling, fishing, and was an avid Alabama football fan. Being with family was most important to Michael, especially time spent vacationing together. Gifted with a witty sense of humor, he was known for making people laugh. Michael will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Folkerts.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Jenny Folkerts; daughter, Brianna Folkerts of Hoschton,GA; sons, Tyler Armand of Covington, Jackson Folkerts of Hoschton, GA, Logan Armand, Bryson Folkerts, both of Covington; father, Michael Rae Folkerts, Sr., of Warner Robins, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Aprille and Bill Glover, Meribeth and Nathan Leach, Jennifer and Derek Backer; niece, Shelby Leach; nephew, T.J. Leach; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Gathering of Friends for Michael Rae will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, at Porter Manor Gardens, 169 N. Johnson Street, in Newborn, GA.
