Michael Lyda

Michael Lyda, 20, of Covington, passed away June 12, 2014. Michael enjoyed playing video games, spending time with his friends, listening to music and working on cars. He was good with his hands, and liked taking things apart, only to reassemble them. He loved his family, and cherished his time with them. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Juanita Rose Snyder; paternal grandparents, Loyd Madison and Sandra Jane Lyda.

Survivors include his mother, Cindy Snyder Lyda; father, James Preston Lyda; sister, Myka Lyda; brother, James Tyler Lyda; and his grandparents, Jon and Lorraine Snyder; uncle, Stephen Snyder, all of Covington.

Funeral Services for Michael will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014, 3:00 PM, at Canaan Baptist Church, 5581 Salem Road, in Covington, with Rev. Thomas Satterfield officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, June 14, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
