Michael Berry Rooks of Covington, passed away September 5, 2017, at 65 years of age. Mr. Rooks was a 1970 graduate of Newton County High School and had worked with his father and brother Rickey, at Rooks Custom Woodworks for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Louis and Christine (Berry) Rooks.
Survivors include his brothers, and sisters-in-law, Charles Gary and Cindy Rooks, John Wayne and Jimmie Ruth Rooks, Rickey and Carol Rooks; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Rooks will be held Sunday, September 17, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Robert Faulkner officiating.
