Michael Skinner

Michael Skinner of Covington, passed away December 21, 2017, at 65 years of age. Michael was known for his generosity, kind spirit, and willingness to help others in need. He was at his best whenever he spent time with family, especially his grandchildren. Michael loved going to the beach and was also an avid fan of NASCAR racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hilmon and Francine (Snipes) Skinner; and brother, Donald Skinner.

Survivors include "the love of his life" and wife of 45 years, Teresa Skinner; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Robert Kelley of Murfreesboro, TN; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Terri Skinner of Covington, Kevin Skinner of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Holly and Matt Carr, Austin Kelley; great-grandson, Gavin Carr; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Richard Bell of Conyers; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Skinner of Lithonia, Edward and Diane Skinner of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Skinner will be held Friday, December 22, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Richard Bell and Ms. Christina Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Covington. Friends may visit with his family, at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
