Michael Ward Kitchens

Michael Ward Kitchens, of Conyers, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the age of 61. Mr. Kitchens was a hardworking man who was a computer engineer and programmer and owned and operated K & K Upholstery. He loved spending his time outdoors whether he was trout fishing, hunting, or kayaking. In his younger years, Mr. Kitchens liked playing soccer and golf while in school and was very involved in his son’s baseball teams. In addition, he enjoyed cooking and shopping on Amazon and helping with the sound for the Blue Max Band. He loved his family, cats, and dogs dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Bohanan Kitchens; father, Billy Kitchens; and grandparents, Wendell and Essie Kitchens.

Survivors include his sons, Casey Kitchens (Leslie), Cody Kitchens; grandchildren, Jillian, Addison, Alexis, Makenzie, Wyatt, Dawson; mother, Nita Kitchens (Jim Hughes); best friend, Dave Chapman; as well as other loving family members.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Kitchens will be held Friday, December 9, 2022, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Ben Reynolds officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
