Mike Collins

Access RoadMike Collins of Oxford, passed away November 8, 2010, at the age of 39. Mike was employed by AMI, working in maintenance at General Mills. He had a beautiful voice, and enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and camping with his wife and dogs. Mike was a loving husband and son, and had a very compassionate and tender heart. He is loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his loving wife, Sheena (Murphy) Collins of Oxford; daughter, Jessica Willis; granddaughter, Kenley Grace Woods, both of Covington; mother and step-father, Janice and John Dobbs of Newborn; father and step-mother, Terry and Sharon Collins of Madison; grandmothers, Evelyn Weaver of Newborn, Ann Pettigrew of Doraville; several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral Services for Mike will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Mike Cherry officiating, and entombment following at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, November 12, from 6-8 PM.
