Mike Tagge of Covington, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the age of 66. Mr. Tagge, a mining engineer by trade, loved his profession. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the beach, and was an avid reader. In addition to woodworking, Mr. Tagge had a gift for cooking - manicotti, country-fried steak, and burgers on the grill were his trademark dishes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Theresa (Berta) Tagge.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Tagge; daughter and son-in-law; Amanda and Brandon Turner; grandson, Brayden Turner, all of Covington, GA; brother, Frank Tagge of Denver, CO; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Addison and wife, Michaela, of Sarasota FL; nephews, John Addison, Steve Addison, both of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Beverly Addison of Conyers, GA; niece, Emily Addison of Conyers, GA.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Tagge will be held Monday, March 13, 2017, 7:00, PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Mark Hardgrove officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to his service, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
