Minnie B. Rowland

Minnie B. Rowland of Covington, died November 13, 2010 at Westbury Health & Rehabilitation in Conyers, at the age of 88.  Mrs. Rowland loved fishing and spending time with her family.  She was very dedicated to her God, and to her church.  She worked for Bibb Manufacturing Company and retired from C & D Battery.  Mrs. Rowland is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rowland, and parents, George and Lillie Mae Ballard. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Vicki Rowland, and Phillip Penn, all of Covington; daughter, Georgia Whidby of Covington, grandchildren, Stacy Hall, Pam Penn, Wendy Penn, Phillip Whidby, Zachary Rowland; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Charles McCord, June and Winford Powell, Hattie Head; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Rowland will be held, Tuesday, November 16, 2010, 2:00 P.M., at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Gavin Moon and Pastor Darrell Payne officiating with entombment following at New Covington Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, November 15, from 5 - 8 P.M.
