Modenia Dyar

Mrs. Modenia Dyar of Conyers, passed away May 12, 2011, at the age of 82. She was an active member of Zion Baptist Church, as well as the Harvester Sunday School Class. She loved serving the Lord, and particularly enjoyed encouraging others during their difficult times. She loved her family dearly, and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Dyar was preceded in death by her husband, James Inman Dyar; parents, Elmer and Lucy (Snow) Rowland.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Mary Stovall of Covington; sisters and brother-in-Law, Jan and Glen Herring of Hartwell, Grace White of Anderson, SC, Patricia Harbin of Greenville, SC; brother, Harry Rowland of Hartwell; step-children, Gail and Gerald Temple of Social Circle, Rev. Michael and Linda Dyar of Akin, SC, Susan and Jimmy Segrest of Rutledge; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.Funeral Services for Mrs. Dyar will be held Monday, May 16, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Zion Baptist Church, in Covington, with Rev. Reese Sanders and Rev. Mike Galdamez officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church, Monday, from 1:00-2:00 PM.
