Mogene N. Elkins

Access RoadMogene N. Elkins of Covington, passed away February 23, 2011, at the age of 91. She retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company, with over 50 years of service. She was an active member of Porterdale Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir; and also a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Elkins.Survivors include her brother, Verlon Nelson of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.Funeral Services for Mrs. Elkins will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 25, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Porterdale Baptist Church, PO Box 637, Porterdale, GA 30070; or to another charity of your choice.
