Nancy Pilgrim Carter of Covington, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, after 79 years of life. She was born on November 5, 1945, in Rockdale County, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, A.B. Pilgrim and Lucile Stowers Pilgrim, along with her sister, Mary Joan Pilgrim, all of Conyers, Georgia.

Nancy was a hard-working, strong-willed woman who seemed like nothing could ever stop her. She was born and raised in Rockdale County and attended Smyrna Presbyterian Church as a member. She then resided in Florida for 25 years before relocating back to Georgia in 2008. She loved the ocean and enjoyed relaxing by the beach, listening to the waves crash.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Larry K. Carter of Covington, Georgia; son, Carey Lowe (Stephanie) of Hilliard, Florida; daughter, Carla Cooper (John) of Covington, Georgia; grandsons, Ryan “Cason” Lowe and family of Celebration, Florida, Cody Lowe of Covington, Georgia, Brett Lowe (Rachel) of Kennesaw, Georgia, William “Tyler” Cooper (McKenzie) of Monticello, Georgia, Thomas Cooper of Covington, Georgia; and great-grandson, Kye Cooper of Monticello, Georgia.

A private graveside service will be held at her request.
