Norma Jean Bond of Oxford, passed away November 26, 2011, at the age of 72. Mrs. Bond attended Christ Cornerstone Church, and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily, listening to Christian and Country music, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mildred (Lowery) Smith; and her sister, Janet Lane.
Survivors include her husband, Kent A. Bond of Oxford; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and David Shoemaker of Monticello; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jennie Brown of Oxford; step-son and wife, Jeff and Laurie Bond of Blairsville; grandchildren, Tammy Lauderdale, Chasity Green, Bryan Shoemaker, Christie Brown, Nick Brown, Amanda Brown, Jeff Bond, Jr.; sisters and brother-in-law, Vern and Joe Richardson of Oxford, Myra Walden of Covington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bond will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Darrell Payne and Pastor Frank Walden, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 30, from 12 Noon - 2:00 P.M.
