Norma Elise Brown

Norma Elise Brown of Mansfield, passed away March 28, 2016, at 78 years of age. Mrs. Brown enjoyed gardening, sewing, and going on cruises with her family. She loved her family, and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and sisters. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Yvonne Brown; parents, William Woodrow and Mary Rachel McEwen; and sister, Albany Edwina Sexton.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, A. Wallace Brown of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Rick Dutton of McDonough; sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Karen Brown, Mark and Helynne Brown, all of Hull, GA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Howell of Comer, Sydney Summers, Sylvia Lowe, both of Danielsville, Ivy Ann Murray or Arnoldsville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Brown will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Dr. Susan Martin-Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5601 US-29, Danielsville, GA. Friends may join the family for visitation, Wednesday, March 30, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Flowers are accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Starrsville United Methodist Church Preschool, 2786 Dixie Road, Covington, GA 30014.
