Norma Clausen Holcombe passed to her Heavenly reward on November 27, 2013 at her home in Conyers. Mrs. Holcombe was articulate with figures and worked in the accounting field for over 50 years, having last been employed by Frazee-Thomas & Tate. Mrs. Holcombe moved to Georgia in 2000 after the passing of her husband. She was a loyal member of Galloway Methodist Church for 60 years, where she served as Chairman of the Board as well as Treasurer, and was very sad when it closed. Her love for decorating was evident in the beauty of the Worship Center. Mrs. Holcombe was preceded in death by her husband, William Hull Holcombe; parents, Charles Alfred/Martin and Josephine (White) Clausen; and sister, Loretta Roberts King.
Mrs. Holcombe is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and John Bateman of Conyers; grandchildren, John (Bo) Bateman also of Conyers, Bryce and Julie Bateman of Statham; great-granddaughter, Aubry Bateman.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Holcombe will be held at a later date.
