Norman Anderson Jones

Norman Anderson Jones, of Conyers, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Norman was a hardworking and beloved family man. He loved all things Ford and traveling. A dedicated landscaper, he took great pride in his beautiful yard and enjoyed being outdoors. He was known for big buck hunting. For many years, Norman worked as a bus and dump truck driver, serving his community with pride. A big fan of Clint Eastwood movies and Mammy’s Kitchen biscuits, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Above all, he adored his family, especially his son and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Jones; parents, Henry and Eunice Jones; sisters, Ophelia Wells, Zelma Harrison, Dorothy Leach; and brothers, Charles, Hemp and Pete Jones.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Janette Jones; son, Donnie Jones; step-children, Brandy Kamm (Chad), Travis Patterson (Shelby); grandchildren; Whitney, Trace, Ansley and Tripp; sister, Mary Waters (Jim); several nieces and nephews; and friend, Nathan Norton. 

A Funeral Service for Norman will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Donny Clack officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Sunday, two hours prior to his service, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
