Norris Gene Cook "Bugar"

Norris Gene Cook, Jr., “Bugar” of Oxford, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at the age of 60.  “Bugar” loved racecars, motorcycles, gardening, and rock music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending the Gwinnett Stripers games and NASCAR races with his son, Caleb. “Bugar” will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and PawPaw.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris, Sr., and Peggy Cook.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tricia Cook; daughters, Leslie Young, Misty Cook; son, Caleb Cook; grandchildren, Karson Coltharp, Ashlyn Newman, Sophia Cook and Kolton Simmons; sister, Cheryl Sherrill; and nephews, Lee Stribling and Mark Sherrill

A Funeral Service for Mr. Cook will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Roger Paul officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Saturday, July 29, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
