Pallie Jennie Raby

Our Precious mother, Pallie Jennie Raby passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 88. She parted this world in her favorite place, her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Eugene Lee Raby Sr., and her parents, Harley Joseph Carnes and Pallie Maybelle Welch. She came from a loving family of 13 siblings.

Pallie will always be loved and dearly missed by her children and their spouses, Patricia and Terry Ozburn, Gloria and Allen Inscore, Tammy Berry, and Eugene and Jane Raby. She is survived by her sister Katherine Thana Smith, her four children, eleven grandkids, twenty-six great grand kids and four great-great grand kids and four step-grand kids. 

She was an amazingly selfless mother, that never failed to put others before herself. She was giving to a fault but was never afraid to vocalize anything she thought someone needed to hear, whether that someone wanted to hear it or not, especially if that someone was one of her children or grandchildren. She was full of kindness, support, wisdom and love. She had a beautiful smile that could light up any room.

Pallie had a passion for all things natural. She was always willing to give advice and research the best way to cure any illness or ailment with God created remedies. So much can be learned from such a remarkable woman. She brought a lot of wonderful things to this world, but to us she was just momma, we will miss her every day.

As we say goodbye to Pallie Jennie Raby, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to God and her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Pallies memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close to our hearts and remember the light she brought to this world.

A Memorial Service for Pallie Raby will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home from 2:30 – 3:00 P.M.
