Patricia Ann Pope

Patricia Ann Pope, of Covington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 86. Mrs. Pope graduated from Central Wesleyan College. She taught first grade and later in life was an employee at Lingering Memories for 25 years. Mrs. Pope was a dedicated pastor’s wife for over 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, cats, and collecting antiques. Mrs. Pope loved to help provide for those in need, helping health clinics and soup kitchens. In addition, she enjoyed her mission in Jamaica. Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Hugh Charter Pope; and parents, Edward Lewis and Hallie Elizabeth Hunley.

Survivors include her son, Pastor Mylon D. Pope (Amy); daughter, Dawn Hunter (Tim); grandchildren, Josh Hunter (Allison), Zack Hunter, Jonathan Pope, Beth Amos (Jared); great-grandchildren, Sebastian Hunter, David Amos. 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Pope will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, 11:30 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Dan Berry officiating and interment following in Westwood Gardens, in Griffin. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Friday, from 10:00 – 11:15 A.M.
