Patricia Ellis Day

Patricia Ellis Day, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the age of 86. Mrs. Day was a dedicated employee at Lithonia Lighting and was a representative for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play, taking pictures of her family, camping, and arts and crafts. But above all else, time spent with her family is what she treasured most. Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband, George Day, Sr.; parents, James Hollis and Gladys Irene McClure; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Townley.

Survivors include her Daughter, Marsha Peters and Sons, Ray Townley, Ricky Day (Lisa), George Day, Jr., (Rebecca); grandchildren, Ricky Day, Jr., Stephany Day, Cheyenne Day, Summer Day; great-grandchildren, Lynniah Day, Noah Tollison; sister, Janet Willis; as well as various loving family members and friends.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Day will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Jeffrey Taylor officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday, October 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
