Paul Austin of Madison, passed away May 9, 2014, at the age of 75. Mr. Austin enjoyed being outdoors and auto racing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Louis Edgar and Mamie Rebecca (Atkinson) Austin; two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ellen (Barrow) Austin; son, John Austin; daughter, Jeannie A. Mullis; grandchildren, Caroline and David Jones, Clair Mullis; sisters, Myrtle Warren, Lois Devane, Lorene Goodman, Polly Smith; brother, Louis Austin; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Austin will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014, 3:00 PM, at Brownwood Baptist Church, in Madison, with Rev. Ron Swann officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Brownwood Baptist Church, 1521 Thankful Road, Madison, GA 30650.
