Access RoadPauline D. Dial of Oxford, passed away September 25, 2012, at the age of 86. Mrs. Dial was a lifelong resident of Newton County, and faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Oxford. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Mrs. Dial loved her family dearly, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Rudolphus Dial; parents, Clarence and Allie (Hooten) Durden; sister, Frances Sockwell; and her brother, Bill Durden. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Pam Dial of Jackson, Rick Dial of Lawrenceville, and Terri Whitehead of Snellville; grandchildren, Eric Dial and his fiancé, Kimberly Singley, Stephanie Dial, Chad Dial; great-grandchildren, Olivia Dial, Sailor Dial, Jessie Singley, Wyatt Benefield; sisters and brother-in-law, Clara Roberts, Ann and Billy Reid, all of Covington; brother and sisters-in-law, LeRoy and Bennie Durden of Oxford, Betty Durden Brown of Covington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.A Graveside Service for Mrs. Dial will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington, with Pastor Lenn Hollingsworth officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Thursday, from 1:00-2:00 PM.
