Peggy Jean Mathis of Covington, passed away September 22, 2014, at the age of 63. Peggy enjoyed drawing, puzzle books and watching soap operas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Turner.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Bryan Krilla of Jonesboro; son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Melissa Mathis of Covington; granddaughters, Brittany Speer, Kassidy Turner; great-granddaughters, Annsleigh Speer, Kinsley Booth; mother, Barbara Turner; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Don Exum, all of Blakeley, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Judy Turner of Demorest, GA; cousin, James "Jimbo" Turner, Jr.; a longtime friend, Richard Bennett; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Peggy will be held Friday, September 26, 2014, 1:00 PM, at Masters Cemetery, 5057 Flakes Mill Road, in Ellenwood.
