Peggy Ann J. McDowell, of Monticello, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020, at the age of 72. Mrs. McDowell was a native of Temple, GA, and a resident of Monticello for twenty-five years. She attended worship at New Praise Center in Covington. Mrs. McDowell had a drive for hard work and a passion for arts and crafts; woodworking was her specialty! She had a knack for marketing her handmade creations, not only selling her items at craft shows but online as well. Mrs. McDowell liked to travel with her husband, Larry, and they enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman J. and Agnes (Cooper) Johnson.
Left to remember Mrs. McDowell with love and admiration is her husband of 24 years, Larry McDowell, Sr.; daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Randy Lewis, Allison McDowell; son, Bill McDowell; grandchildren, Cheyenne, T.J., Sonny, Katy, Karsyn, Brooks, Gage, Charleigh; and sister, Gayle J. Morris.
Due to the current COVID-19, and coronavirus pandemic recommendations, a celebration of life for Mrs. McDowell will be held at a later date.
