Philmore G. McLean of Covington, also affectionately known as "King Philly", passed away December 7, 2014, at the age of 67. He cherished his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a jack of all trades. He was very knowledgeable in most subjects and enjoyed light-hearted conversation. King Philly was very charismatic, had a terrific sense of humor, enjoyed singing and was very good at it. He was a cowboy movie fanatic and would sit and watch them for hours. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him! He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent George and Hyacinth (Rugless) McLean; and his sister, Molly.
Philmore departed this life on December 7, 2014 and is predeceased by his parents and sister Molly. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 40 years, Valrie, sisters and brothers, his children and their spouses; grandchildren, great-grandchild and a host of other adopted children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 21, 2014, 11:30 AM, with the viewing beginning 10:30 AM at the Conyers Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3001 Old Salem Road, in Conyers, with Pastor John Strickland officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Saturday, December 20, from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
