Ralph Gibson

Ralph Gibson, of Social Circle, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, at 83 years of age. Mr. Gibson proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Additionally, he was a member of Conyers Christian Church and displayed his loving spirit as he spent time with his daughter and grandchildren. Mr. Gibson relaxed by watching westerns, Judge Judy, and Investigative Discovery on T.V. He was also an avid wrestling fan. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Hairell Gibson.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Brown; grandchildren, Steven and Susan Smith, Michael Smith, Jonathan and Heather Smith, Chris and Mandy Smith, Bryon Smith; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Rose Gibson Marshall; brother and sister-in-law, A.L. and Nellie Gibson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Gibson will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family, prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
