Ralph Grenville Trickler, 81, of Covington, Georgia passed away on November 29, 2023 at Riverside Healthcare while in respite care.

He was born October 17, 1942 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Ralph and Wanda Faye Trickler. On August 19, 162 in Burlington, Iowa he married Bonnie Jean Wickerham and they shared 61 years together.

He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1966 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with honors. He belonged to a business fraternity (Alpha Kappa Psi) and did postgraduate work at Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and the University of California in Fullerton, California.

Ralph worked as an international auditor, cost accountant and CFO for several different companies in various locations. These included Cleveland, Ohio; Los Angeles and Fullerton, California; Portland, Oregon; Chicago, Illinois; Perry Florida; Hot Springs and Mountain Pine, Arkansas and Conyers, Georgia. Needless to say his family accepted the idea of new locations easily. Ralph was instrumental in matchmaking his oldest son Curtis with our daughter-in-law, Karen while working in Florida.

Ralph was very sport-oriented and coached youth baseball teams before he had any children himself. He was a past President and Treasurer of the Rockdale Youth Baseball Association where he coached both of his sons. He also coached basketball through the Rockdale Youth program. He was an avid golfer and had 10 hole-in-ones in his lifetime. He was a past President of the Honey Creek Men’s Golf Association and a member of the club for many years. He was a devoted fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes Football and Basketball sports.

Another side of Ralph was his love of traveling, history and music. He and Bonnie enjoyed two trips to Europe and Celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Basel, Switzerland on a riverboat cruise of castles on the Rhine. He also encouraged her to pursue her love of singing as a member of the Covington/Conyers Choral Guild (20 years) and enjoyed their many concerts. He and his wife had organized two benefit golf tournaments previously.

Ralph was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Covington. He volunteered as an Auditor and was a past President and treasurer of the Agape Sunday School Class where he also taught.

Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie; Curtis Lee (Karen) Trickler of Covington, GA. and Christopher Blake (Jen) Trickler of Monroe, GA; two grandchildren, Travis and Andrew Trickler of Covington, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon (Lester) Hicks of Dunellen, FL. And brother, James Trickler of Lomax, IL.
