Randi Lester

Randi Lester, of Covington, entered Jesus’ arms as rejoiceful as could be, May 20, 2024, at the age of 58. Incredibly generous and compassionate, she was a multi-organ doner, Randi made the noble choice to help save or improve the lives of others after her passing. Randi loved Jesus, her family, a good Georgia Bulldogs game, cooking and cleaning. In her spare time, she loved being at her happy place, the beach. She was a true inspiration to those around her, always encouraging everyone. Randi had a servant's heart and truly enjoyed taking care of people. Affectionately known as “Mama Randi” or “Maw Maw”, she never met a stranger, loved everyone she encountered, and ensured your belly was full of great cooking. She loved reaching out to the community to see how she could pray for them. Randi’s greatest enjoyment in life was to have her house full of her grandchildren and spoil them rotten. #Always be humble and kind. Randi was preceded in death by her granddaughter, McKenna Spain; parents, John A. Evans, Jr., and Anita Joyce Anderson; and brother, Johnny A. Evans, III.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dean Lester; daughters, Ashley Spain (George Hall), Melissa Dial (Russell Guest); son, William “Bubba” Spain (Cameron Spain); grandchildren, Jordan Lester, Mason Thompson, Madison Lackey, Aubrey Dial, Caraline Dial, Chief Dial, Brayden Spain, Rowan Spain; sisters, April Summer (Carroll), Tracy Smith, Sunday Stribling; brother, Shane Doby; Randi’s circle, Shirley and David Johnston, Kim Smith, and Angie Croy; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Randi will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 1:00 P.M., at New Life Praise Center, 8111 Brown Bridge Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family, Tuesday, May 28, from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington., and then again on Wednesday, May 29, from 10:00 A.M - 12 Noon, also at the funeral home.
