Randy Ainsworth, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the age of 72. Mr. Ainsworth proudly enlisted to serve his country during the Vietnam War. He was a 1967 graduate of Forest Park High School, a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a 40 plus year member of Masonic Lodge # 489. Mr. Ainsworth enjoyed camping and traveling to the beach and lake. He liked watching Kyle Busch race in NASCAR and cheering on his favorite football team, the Georgia Bulldogs. Randy was an honest man, who selflessly did things to help others whether they be friends or strangers. He was the life of the party, and always up for anything. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Ainsworth was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Clifton Ainsworth, Sr.; father-in-law, Rogers Henderson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Sandy Ainsworth; daughter, Brandi Wilborn (Lamar); grandchildren, Gage Wilborn, Reed Wilborn; mother, Judy Ainsworth; mother-in-law, Mattie Henderson; sister, Patti Garrison (Mike); brother-in-law,  Roger Dale Henderson (Sue); niece, Stephanie Garrison; Nephew, Shane Garrison.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Ainsworth will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Danny Sorrells and Larry Cole officiating. A private interment will be held at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Milledgeville. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Monday, September 27, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Masonic Lodge # 489 in care of Larry Parnell, 423 Hays Pond Road, Mansfield, GA 30055. The family asks that you dress casual to the services if you like.

Governor Brian Kemp’s latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
