Raymond Hinton Brown, Jr., "Buddy"

Raymond Hinton Brown, Jr., “Buddy”, of Covington, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the age of 76. Buddy graduated from Morgan County High School in 1967. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. Buddy was a Christian, loved his heavenly father, and served on different church committees throughout his life. He was a jack of all trades, a hard worker, and could do just about anything. He loved camping and riding motorcycles. Buddy was a big fan of the Braves, Bulldogs, Falcons, and NASCAR. He made a lot of friends through his work, loved his family dearly and held a special place in his heart for his pets. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Fran Tuck Brown; Sons, Trey Brown, Tim Brown (Teal); grandchildren, Sophia Brown, Mason Brown, Jack Brown; brother, Pat Patterson (Susan); sister-in-law, Anne Foster (Randy); aunt, Agnes Hemsley; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service for Buddy will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the First Baptist Church of Covington, 1139 Usher Street NW, in Covington, with Dr. Cody McNutt officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday, September 28, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
