Reda Franklin

Reda Franklin, age 81, of Decatur, passed away July 11, 2014. Mrs. Franklin, a charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, was a member of the Faithful Sunday School Class, and always supported her son in the ministry. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Franklin.

Survivors include daughters, Jenny Skinner of Destin, FL, Sondra Langford of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Mike and Cindy Franklin of Covington, Gary and Debra Franklin of Gainesville; grandchildren, Joe and Cristina Franklin, Josh and Ashley Franklin, Mandy and Tim Simmons, Lori Franklin, Drew and Merf Franklin, Kenny Lyon, Jade Lyon, Chance Lyon; great-grandchildren, Bailey Franklin, Logan Franklin, Mclane Franklin, Stella Franklin, Dalton Hanlon, Brinley Simmons, Baker Simmons, Logan Simmons, Caden Lyon, and Kylee Allen.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Franklin will be held Sunday, July 13, 2014, 3:00 P.M., at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 8111 Brown Bridge Road, in Covington, with Rev. Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, from 1:30 - 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Petra Foundation, P.O. Box 1144, Covington, GA 30015.
