Rheba Hart Oglesbee

Access RoadMrs. Rheba Hart Oglesbee of Social Circle passed away February 12, 2012, at the age of 95. She was born in Abbeville, South Carolina, June 17, 1916 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Osier Hart. Mrs. Oglesbee graduated from the University of Georgia in 1935, and taught Home Economics in the Social Circle City School System for 32 years. She loved gardening and floral arranging, and was a founding member of the Gateway Garden Club. She had a great love for entertaining family and friends and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Oglesbee; sisters, Marie H. Herring, Jewell H. Eubank; brothers, Leason C. Hart, Osier C. Hart; and nephew Leason C. Hart, Jr. Mrs. Oglesbee is survived by her niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Oglesbee was a member of Social Circle United Methodist Church. Funeral Services for Mrs. Oglesbee will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
