Richard Anderson Clotfelter, affectionately known as Ricky, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023. Born on March 9, 1957, Ricky was a beacon of kindness, love, and humor, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. Ricky was a proud high school graduate who spent a significant part of his life working at Kmart. His stories about his time there were filled with humor and warmth, reflecting his ability to find joy and camaraderie in every situation. His colleagues at Kmart remember him as a dedicated and hardworking individual who always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. Ricky was a man of simple pleasures. He found immense joy in the tranquility of nature, often escaping to the mountains for a peaceful retreat. An avid fisherman, Ricky had a particular fondness for trout fishing. His fishing trips were not just about the catch, but about the serenity he found in the rhythmic casting of the line and the quiet patience of waiting for a bite. Ricky was also a passionate fan of professional wrestling. He loved the drama, the athleticism, and the larger-than-life characters. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he could often be found in animated discussions about the latest matches and his favorite wrestlers. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Billie Jean Clotfelter, sister Wanda Pitts and his brother David Clotfelter.
Above all, Ricky was a family man. He was a beloved brother-in-law to Marti Clotfelter, a cherished uncle to Morgan Edwards, Amber Jenkins, Destiny Davis, Shianna Gorum, and Jonathan Pitts, and a doting great-uncle to Dylanie Edwards, Amara Jenkins, Oaklynn Watson, Brynnlee Watson, and Jensen Jenkins. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly. Ricky's love for his family was evident in his excitement for family reunions and the joy he found in spending time with his loved ones.
