Richard Dale Davis,

Access RoadRichard Dale Davis, Sr., of Covington, passed away January 10, 2012, at the age of 57. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking on the grill, cutting grass, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Davis was a strong, hard-working man, who was always taking care of others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lloyd and Betty (Poteet) Davis; and his sister, Linda Jones. Survivors include his wife, Maria Davis of Covington; son, Richard Davis, Jr., of Covington; daughters and son-in-law, Mandy Davis of Conyers, Stephanie and Jeremy Richardson of Covington; sisters, Beverly Cole of Covington, Regina Davis of McDonough, Kathey Young of Conyers; brothers, Edwin Wesley Davis of Covington, Robert Davis, Conyers; step-brother, Phillip Patterson of Walnut Grove; step-children, Erika Hernandez of Covington, Soila Hernandez of Escondido, CA, Sucele Hernandez, Hilario Hernandez, Janet Gonzalez, all of Covington; 16 grandchildren.A Memorial Service for Mr. Davis will be held Friday, January 13, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with interment following in Eastview Cemetery, in Conyers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 12, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
