Richard J. Katenkamp

Richard J. Katenkamp of Covington, passed away September 22, 2013, at the age of 81. Mr. Katenkamp was a commercial draftsman for 50 years. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and also served in the Naval Reserve. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed the holidays and spending time with his neighbors. Mr. Katenkamp was preceded in death by his wife, Melanie Katenkamp; granddaughter, Heather Anne Mieras; parents, Earl Louis and Anne Louise Katenkamp.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Katenkamp of Pinellas Park, Fl.; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and John Curry of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Sarah Todd of Chapin, SC, Kimberly Curry of Columbia SC; great-grandchildren, Anthony Mieras, Kaden Todd, Noah Todd; sister, Sally Moulse of Roanoke, Va.; brother, David Katenkamp of Va.; loving friend and mother of Kathy and Joseph, Peggy Mathis.
