Richard Speer

Access Road Richard "Ricky" Speer, of Covington, died September 8, 2012, at the age of 44. Mr. Speer was co-owner of Speer Construction.  He enjoyed drag-racing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved spending time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father Aubrey Lee Speer.   Survivors include his wife, Tammy Speer of Covington; daughter, Tiffany Speer of Covington; son, Chad Speer of Selma, Alabama; grandchildren, Kaleb Adams, Parker, Braxton, and Colton Speer; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Cindy Speer, of Conyers; and several nieces and nephews.   Funeral Services for Mr. Speer will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, in Covington, with Rev. Richard Culpepper officiating, and interment following in Salem Methodist Cemetery, 3962 Salem Road, Covington, Georgia 30016. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, September 11, 2012, from 5:00-8:00 PM.  Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.
